Auction for the Ryan Ladd Benefit

One of my best friend's brother has a disease called Gastroparesis.  It is paralysis of the stomach, which means eating (digesting) and being satisfied is near about impossible.  He has very bad days where he is very sick and makes frequent emergency visits to the hospital...however there is not much they can do besides keep him hydrated once he gets there.  He is in need of a surgery that will implant a pacemaker into his stomach in order to "shock" the stomach into proper digestion.  This surgery cost $60,000 and the money has to be paid up front...insurance will not cover him as it is a risky surgery.  His family has successfully raised $10,000 but that has come from almost a year of hard work.  Read Ryan's complete story here:  http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id=100002038159280&sk=info

With that being said, Sweet Baby Sugar Boutique is going to hold an auction in order to help raise money for Ryan's surgery.  I am asking for vendors who are willing to put their items in our auction...where ALL proceeds will go towards his surgery.  Please note here:  You will not make a profit from this auction since all proceeds will go towards his surgery, however your items will be tagged with your fan page and you will gain many new fans by participating...plus, helping out a great cause in the process!!

God is preparing me...early!

I am 15 weeks pregnant today, with our 2nd child.  (Our daughter is 16 months old.)  I remember when I was pregnant with her, towards the end of the pregnancy, I was up alll night.  Cravings, bathroom stops, glass of water.  Everyone told me that God was preparing me for being up with a newborn at night...which was the truth! 

Well, at 15 weeks...I'm up all night.  Bathroom breaks, starving, need water.  I can't help but wonder if God is preparing me extra early for this baby.  Perhaps I'm in for a "treat" when the new baby arrives and I have a newborn and a 22 month old on my hands.  :)  Either way, I don't mind!!  We're beyond blessed to have our first child after everything we went through (will save that for another blog!) and even more blessed to have made it to 15 weeks with this one. 

Seriously......being a stay at home mom is the hardest job there is, but also one of the most rewarding!!  And to be a stay at home CRAFTY mom is even better!!

First Blog!

Hi all!  This is my first blog post...ever!  I decided I needed to start one in order to comply with Facebook's giveaway terms.  I would HATE to lose my Sweet Baby Sugar Boutique page! 

Since this is the first blog, I'm going to keep it short...plus my toddler (16 months old!) is fussing and ready for her nap.  Stay tuned to my Facebook page for my next giveaway, at 200 fans...which is 4 or 5 fans away!  Spread the word, because this is where ALL giveaway's will take place from now on.
